Shaker is 9-1 against the Blue Devils since January of 2016, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Shaker Bison will be playing at home against the Columbia Blue Devils at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Shaker's game was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Niskayuna by a score of 57-47. The win made it back-to-back wins for Shaker.
Shaker found their leader in underclassman Jayla Geter, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sierra Carter, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, Columbia waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with three straight wins but they left with four. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-52 victory over Duanesburg.
Shaker is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Columbia, their win bumped their record up to 11-6.
Shaker came out on top in a nail-biter against the Blue Devils in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, sneaking past 47-44. Will Shaker repeat their success, or do the Blue Devils have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
