The Providence Hall Patriots fell victim to the Layton Christian Academy Eagles''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Eagles, falling 51-0. Having soared to a lofty 38 points in the game before, Providence Hall couldn't push the score so high this time.
Trevor Halalilo was his usual excellent self, rushing for 181 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. Halalilo is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Marcus Miles, who rushed for 50 yards and two touchdowns.
Providence Hall has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-5 record this season. As for Layton Christian Academy, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.
Providence Hall does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Layton Christian Academy will square off against South Summit at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. South Summit is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
