O'Bannon took down Marshall 58-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Anthony Howard ran for 87 yards in the win.
West Bolivar made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,837 from 1,976. The improvement was the result of 39-32 victory over South Delta last week.
Ricky Green and Hakeem Johnson gave the Bulldogs a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Green threw for 70 yards and two touchdowns, while Johnson ran for 125 yards. Terry Montgomery also contributed to the rushing game with 63 yards on the ground.
Ray Harper was the best wideout in 2A Region 4 this week as Riverside fell to Simmons. Harper racked up five receptions for 65 yards. Michael Boone helped Riverside's passing attack out by catching two balls for 18 yards.
Dillon Russell provided a threat through the air and on the ground as the Bulldogs lost to the Blue Devils. He completed 10 passes for 98 yards and also ran for 31 yards.
5-foot-11 quarterback Kylan Johnson of the Eagles is the league leader in passing yards this season with 547. He has also thrown three touchdowns. On the ground, South Delta's Johnson has rushed for 1042 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Harper. The Riverside star has 15 catches for 223 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Simmons takes on Derrick Hooker's team. Antoine Kimble's team is currently in third, while the Bulldogs are in first.
The Green Wave led 2A Region 4 in scoring this week after putting up 58 points on the Tigers. Howard in the win.
