After flying high against the Carson Cougars last Tuesday, the South Rowan Raiders came back down to earth. South Rowan took a serious blow against Northwest Cabarrus on Friday, falling 56-12. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South Rowan has scored all season.
They used a three-pronged attack on offense:
Avery Fisher,
Dabrianna Pharr, and
Kynlee Dextraze posted three points each. Pharr also led the team in rebounds with eight.
South Rowan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. South Rowan will take on West Rowan at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. West Rowan is coming into the game hot, having won their last 11 games. As for Northwest Cabarrus, they will be playing at home against Concord at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Concord focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Friday.
