Upland had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They secured a 25-21 W over the El Toro Chargers on Tuesday. The win was nothing new for the Highlanders/Scots as they're now sitting on three straight.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Upland's defense and their three sacks. Siena Vejariel was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two herself. She is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as she's now posted at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
Upland's victory bumped their record up to 21-6. As for El Toro, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 19-10.
Coming up, Upland will take on Westlake at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors' defense has only allowed 14.9 points per game this season, so the Highlanders/Scots' offense will have their work cut out for them. El Toro does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
