Leetonia came into Saturday's contest having lost 11 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 33-25 victory over the Memorial Red Devils on Saturday. The Bears' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Memorial's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Justice Paris, who posted five points in addition to seven steals and five boards.

Leetonia's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Memorial, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Leetonia will be playing in front of their home fans against Columbiana at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Columbiana will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Leetonia surely won't give up without a fight. As for Memorial, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 72-8 loss against Mineral Ridge on the 7th.
