The Oakdale Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a 69-65 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rockwood. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Rockwood had a senior duo take command as Ty'varion Pryor scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and three steals and Alexander Norton dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Norton has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Poland, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Oakdale has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season. As for Rockwood, their victory bumped their record up to 10-4.
Oakdale will play host again and welcome Wartburg Central, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Rockwood, they will head out on the road to take on Whitwell at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Whitwell is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
