Having just played yesterday, the Cienega Bobcats will jump right back in to play the Cambridge Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cienega has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 839 points over their last 12 contests.
Even though Sierra Vista scored an imposing 67 points on Wednesday, Cienega still came out on top. Cienega enjoyed a cozy 82-67 win over Sierra Vista.
It was another big night for Evan Golembieski, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jackson Moore, who scored 15 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Cambridge earned a 58-45 victory over Roswell last Monday. Given Cambridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 68th, while Roswell is ranked 304th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Cienega is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Cambridge, their win bumped their record up to 6-3.
