The Council Cobras lost against the Tri-Cities Christian Eagles back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Council ended up on the wrong side of a tough 57-35 walloping at the hands of Tri-Cities Christian.
It was another big night for Faith Greene, who scored 27 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals for Tri-Cities Christian. That makes it five consecutive games in which Greene has scored at least 25% of Tri-Cities Christian's points. Bella Bosken was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 6 steals.
Council's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Tri-Cities Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Council will take on Tazewell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tri-Cities Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Castlewood at 6:00 p.m.
