Make it 13 blowout wins for the Coram Deo Academy Lions this season. They took their game at home on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 88-13 victory over Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 56-4.
Coram Deo Academy was led to victory by Lily Patterson and Hannah Newton. Patterson scored 19 points along with six steals and five rebounds, while Newton dropped a double-double on 26 points and 12 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Newton scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Campbell Skelly, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Coram Deo Academy's win bumped their record up to 19-11. As for Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coram Deo Academy will take on the Stars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep, they will be playing at home against the Lions at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
