Cimarron put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by a 20-2 margin over the Penasco Panthers. That's more bragging rights for the Rams, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Trapper Whitten made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). Whitten was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, Andrew Gonzales was a standout: he scored four runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. Ethan Eppler was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one double.

Cimarron kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Penasco only managed two hits.

Cimarron's record now sits at 3-0. As for Penasco, their defeat was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cimarron beat Penasco by a score of 32-1 later that day.
