The Clarkston Angoras's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Druid Hills on the road and fell 93-46. Clarkston has struggled against Druid Hills recently, as their game on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Several Angoras players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jonathan McBride, who scored 15 points. McBride scored a full 32.6% of Clarkston's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Zakaria Hussein, who scored 6 points along with 8 assists.
Clarkston's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Druid Hills, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Clarkston will face off against New Horizons Prep Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Druid Hills, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Miller Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Miller Grove will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 464th, while Druid Hills is ranked 157th).
