The Clinton Cardinals will head out on the road to face off against the Pleasant Hill Roosters/Chicks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Clinton suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They were dealt a 77-47 loss at the hands of Summit Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Clinton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 482nd, while Summit Christian Academy is ranked 98th).
Meanwhile, Pleasant Hill's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 67-49 bruising from Warrensburg.
Clinton has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-12 record this season. As for Pleasant Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
Things could have been worse for Clinton, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-47 loss to Pleasant Hill in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Clinton avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
