Biggs has gone 9-1 against Portola recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Wolverines will face off against the Tigers at 1:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.
On Friday, Biggs needed a bit of extra time to put away Hamilton. They had just enough and edged out the Braves 4-3.

Gracie Sheppard spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game.
At the plate, Biggs' win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Allie Little, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
Meanwhile, Portola hadn't done well against Loyalton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Grizzlies 16-15.
Portola got a massive performance out of Annie Tate, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most hits Tate has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Ainsleigh Pruitt, who went 3-for-5 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one triple.
Portola always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .537. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .537 or higher in three consecutive matchups.
Portola's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.0 runs over those games. As for Biggs, their record is now 18-3-1.
Both Biggs and Portola just can't seem to miss. The Wolverines have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.2 hits per game. However, it's not like Portola struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.5 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Biggs' way against Portola when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Biggs made off with a 22-8 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wolverines since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
