Holden is 0-10 against Richmond since December of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Holden Eagles are on the road again and play against the Richmond Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On Friday, it was a hard-fought match, but Holden had to settle for a 48-45 defeat against Appleton City.
Meanwhile, Richmond's 23-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a serious blow against Summit Christian Academy on Thursday, falling 69-34. Richmond was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-17.
Holden's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Richmond, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.
Holden was dealt a bruising 78-19 defeat at the hands of Richmond in their previous meeting back in February. The contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Holden was down 36-8.
