While losing is never fun, Lee's Summit North can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 67th in Missouri, while the Huskies are ranked fifth in Kansas).
Joey Matteoni continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Blue Valley Northwest, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 13 rebounds. Matteoni continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Jaxon Klein was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Lee's Summit North's loss dropped their record down to 11-7. As for Blue Valley Northwest, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
