The Mountain Home Bombers will head out on the road to face off against the Greenbrier Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Greenbrier took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Mountain Home, who comes in off a win.
Mountain Home fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They strolled past Van Buren with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 41-24.
It was another big night for Chris Hubbard, who rushed for 237 yards and four touchdowns. Cade Yates also helped out by tossing the rock for 259 yards.
Meanwhile, Greenbrier's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 55-7 loss at the hands of Little Rock Christian Academy. Having soared to a lofty 31 points in the game before, Greenbrier couldn't push the score so high this time.
Mountain Home now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Greenbrier, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-5 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Mountain Home against Greenbrier when the teams last played back in November of 2022 as the team secured a 56-21 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mountain Home since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
