The Haysville Campus Colts had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They blew past Eisenhower 81-55. That 26 points margin sets a new team best for Haysville Campus this season.
It was another big night for Andrell Burton, jr, who shot 5-for-6 from deep and dropped a double-double on 37 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Haysville Campus' points. Kaason Thomas was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five assists and two steals.
Despite the loss, Eisenhower had strong showings from Pierce Blue, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds, and Larsen Schneider, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Arjay Daracan, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Haysville Campus' win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-4. As for Eisenhower, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Haysville Campus and Derby will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Derby will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 106th, while Haysville Campus is ranked 31st). As for Eisenhower, Eisenhower and Salina Central will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
