Orme is 3-0 against American Heritage Academy since January of 2023, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Orme Warriors will stay at home for another game and welcome American Heritage Academy at 4:00 p.m. on February 8th. Hopefully Orme focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, Orme ended up a good deal behind Trinity Christian and lost 48-34. While losing is never fun, Orme can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Trinity Christian is ranked 61st).
The losing side was boosted by Bartek Kreglewski, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Owen Rudolph, who scored two points along with five rebounds and three blocks.
Meanwhile, American Heritage Academy came into Thursday's game having lost 19 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Leupp Boarding 54-30. American Heritage Academy's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Orme's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for American Heritage Academy, their win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-9.
Orme strolled past American Heritage Academy in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 63-46. Does Orme have another victory up their sleeve, or will American Heritage Academy turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
