Geneva is 9-1 against the Dragons since December of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Geneva Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Lakeside Dragons at 2:00 p.m. Hopefully Geneva is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Dragons in Ohio (the Eagles are ranked 149th, while the Dragons are ranked 720th).
Geneva scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Conneaut with a sharp 67-41 win. The win made it back-to-back wins for Geneva.
Meanwhile, Lakeside's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their tenth straight loss. They took a 45-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harvey. Lakeside has not had much luck with the Red Raiders recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Geneva's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. As for Lakeside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.
Everything came up roses for Geneva against the Dragons when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 71-39 win. Does Geneva have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
