Two Rivers recap October 1, 2013
Wheeling Park added to the longest winning streak in Two Rivers this week by beating Brooke, 34-16. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Patriots.
Wheeling Park's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Zach Phillips threw for 60 yards and Michael Grove had 18 yards receiving. On the ground Bryce Ingram contributed 188 yards.
Ingram provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Chris Daugherty's team bested the Bruins.
Ingram was the most successful running back in the league this week. He ran for 188 yards on 12 carries as the Patriots bested Brooke. Teammate Savion Johnson added to the ground attack by rushing for 138 yards.
Wheeling Park's Phillips and Eric Banks have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Phillips has thrown for 428 yards this season, while Banks has 15 catches for 257 yards. Morgantown's Chazzy Thomas leads the league in rushing yards with 638.
John Marshall made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,564 from 8,917. The improvement was the result of a 28-6 victory over East Liverpool last week.
