Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cotton Center). The stars were shining brightly for them in a 39-21 win over the Panhandle Christian Home Educators Warriors on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Elks as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Cotton Center was led to victory by Rachel Walden and Kylee Prutzman. Walden posted 15 points along with six boards and five assists, while Prutzman dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Walden has scored at least a third of Cotton Center's points.

Cotton Center's win bumped their record up to 3-12. As for Panhandle Christian Home Educators, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Cotton Center will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Patton Springs at 12:00 p.m. on December 28th. Panhandle Christian Home Educators does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
