Football Recap: Spencer Piles Up the Points Against Hardaway

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spencer). They claimed a resounding 48-20 victory over the Hardaway Hawks. Considering the Greenwave have won five contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Despite the loss, Hardaway still got an impressive performance from Jaamir Brown, who rushed for 75 yards and one TD on only ten carries. Brown got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 59 yards.

Spencer is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.4 points over those games. As for Hardaway, they dropped their record down to 1-9 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight at home.

Spencer will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Miller Grove at 7:30 p.m. on the 13th. The Wolverines' defense has only allowed 12.2 points per game this season, so the Greenwave's offense will have their work cut out for them. Hardaway does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
