Harnett Central is 0-5 against Pine Forest since January of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pine Forest's game on Monday was all tied up 16-16 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Triton by a score of 44-36. The victory was just what Pine Forest needed coming off of a 54-31 defeat in their prior game.
Harnett Central's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-13. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 15.0 points per game. As for Pine Forest, their win bumped their record up to 10-12.
Things could have been worse for Harnett Central, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 39-20 loss to Pine Forest in their previous meeting back in January. Can Harnett Central avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
