The Garrison Forest Grizzlies will face off against the St. Paul's Girls Gators at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
St. Paul's Girls will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Garrison Forest extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday. The Grizzlies blew past Mount de Sales Academy 3-0.
Garrison Forest's got stronger as the match went on, holding Mount de Sales Academy to fewer and fewer points set over set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17, 25-15.

Garrison Forest's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Julianna LaRocco, who had four aces and one block, and Emily Epperson, who had five aces and three digs. That's the most digs Epperson has posted since back in September.
They weren't the only good servers: Garrison Forest was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 18 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, St. Paul's Girls got the win against Notre Dame Prep on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0. The Gators haven't had any issues with Notre Dame Prep recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.
The match was exciting from start to finish, as two sets needed extra rallies to gain a two-point lead. The final score came out to 26-24, 27-25, 25-23.
St. Paul's Girls' victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Garrison Forest, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Garrison Forest was able to grind out a solid win over St. Paul's Girls in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, winning 3-1. Will the Grizzlies repeat their success, or do the Gators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
