Softball Recap: Opp Beats Dothan for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Opp waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Dothan Wolves with a sharp 8-2 victory. Considering the Bobcats have won 15 games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Crislyn Birge was excellent, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted over her last six contests. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Adams, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Opp's win bumped their record up to 22-8. As for Dothan, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-12-1.

Opp didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 10-0 victory against Geneva on the 11th. As for Dothan, they have also already played their next game, a 12-1 win against Carroll on the 10th.
