The Timberlake Tigers will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Kellogg Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Timberlake will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Timberlake turned things around against Parma on Saturday. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Panthers. The Tigers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Tanner Van Tassel made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three). He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. That run marked the first that he has scored this season.
