The DuQuoin Indians can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Chester and snuck past 66-63. The win was just what DuQuoin needed coming off of a 56-36 defeat in their prior matchup.
DuQuoin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dwayne Wilmington, who scored 14 points. Another player making a difference was Eli Maynor, who scored 14 points.
DuQuoin's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 8-16. As for Chester, their loss dropped their record down to 11-14.
DuQuoin and the Redbirds will face off at 7:45 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Illinois (Frankfort is ranked 440th, while the Indians are ranked 459th).
