The Olympus Titans's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Mountain Ridge Sentinels at 5:15 p.m. on December 15th. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Olympus scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took down Taylorsville 58-44. With that win, Olympus brought their scoring average up to 50.1 points per game.
Keily Trabanino was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with seven rebounds. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Chloe Bontempo was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge beat Cottonwood 56-48 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Mountain Ridge.
Mountain Ridge found their leader in underclassman Jessica Maynard, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Maynard has scored at least 25% of Mountain Ridge's points. Another player making a difference was Kya Newton, who scored 11 points.
Olympus now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Mountain Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Olympus was able to grind out a solid victory over Mountain Ridge when the teams last played back in December of 2022, winning 59-52. Will Olympus repeat their success, or does Mountain Ridge have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
