East Henderson has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against The Pisgah Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Henderson comes in on a streak of failing to score more than eight points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
East Henderson fell victim to North Henderson's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were outmatched by the Knights at home and fell 34-0. While losing is never fun, East Henderson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 377th, while North Henderson is ranked 165th).
Meanwhile, Pisgah lost to Tuscola on the road by a decisive 27-10 margin on Friday. Pisgah has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
East Henderson's loss was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.88 points per game. As for Pisgah, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
East Henderson was taken down by Pisgah 41-14 when the teams last played back in October of 2022. Can East Henderson avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
