The Urbana Hillclimbers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 21 points or more this season. They breezed by London at home to the tune of 58-21. The win was familiar territory for Urbana who now have four in a row.
Urbana was led to victory by Alexandra Dixon and Peyton Mounce. Dixon scored 21 points along with seven rebounds and six assists, while Mounce scored 22 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Mounce has scored at least 25% of Urbana's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lola Rice, who scored two points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Urbana's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for London, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Urbana's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Benjamin Logan at 7:30 p.m. on December 27th. London will finish 2023 at home by hosting Madison Plains at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
