The Master's Academy Lions stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They blew past N.C. School for the Deaf 59-7 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-7.
The Master's Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Macy Bumgarner, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten steals. Bumgarner is trending in the right direction, as she's improved her point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Faith Yelton, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
The Master's Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 51 points. As for N.C. School for the Deaf, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
The Master's Academy is on the road again on Thursday and plays the Bulldogs at 4:00 p.m. on February 1st. As for N.C. School for the Deaf, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on February 1st. Virginia School for the Deaf & Blind and the Bears are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads.
