The Collinsville Pirates entered their tilt with the Santo Wildcats with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Collinsville claimed a resounding 47-10 victory over Santo on the road. Given Collinsville's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 397th, while Santo is ranked 1017th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Collinsville to victory were Logan Jenkins and Colin Barnes. Jenkins threw for 311 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 12.4 yards per attempt, while Barnes picked up 153 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Jenkins hasn't dropped below 300 passing yards for five straight games. Rylan Newman also helped out with an impressive 161 receiving yards.
Collinsville's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Santo, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.
Collinsville will look to defend their home field on Friday against Muenster at 7:00 p.m. Muenster is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Santo, they will head out on the road to face off against Celeste at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
