4A Far West recap October 8, 2013
Jordan Shaffer and Brandon Stewart provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Siuslaw. The longest such play in 4A Far West this season, the connection resulted in 88 yards.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, the Vikings beat Douglas 68-28. The victory was the sixth in a row for the team.
Douglas' offense cannot be tamed this season and the Trojans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Shaffer has thrown for 1,397 yards and 18 touchdowns this season, while Stewart has 15 catches for 292 yards. Shaffer also leads the league in rushing with 610 yards.
At the moment, the Trojans are in third, while North Bend/Oregon Coast Tech is in second.
Tim Dodson's team led 4A Far West in scoring this week after putting up 68 points on Douglas.
