Greencastle has gone a perfect 6-0 against Brown County recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Tiger Cubs will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Greencastle has six straight victories, Brown County has 19 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
If Greencastle beats Brown County with 15 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. The Tiger Cubs put the hurt on Park Tudor with a sharp 15-2 win on Monday. The Tiger Cubs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.
Cayden Scott looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

At the plate, Sam Gooch was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryton Gregg, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Meanwhile, Brown County came up short against Edinburgh on Thursday and fell 8-3.
Jade Woolems was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one double. Mason Hazelgrove also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Greencastle's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Brown County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-13.
Brown County's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Greencastle hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .345. It's a different story for Brown County, though, as they've only averaged .256. Will they be able to contain Greencastle's hitters?
Everything went Greencastle's way against Brown County in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Greencastle made off with a 9-3 victory. Will the Tiger Cubs repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
