Raymond (Wash.) gained the lead on a
Rayce Newman touchdown run with 1:00 remaining in the fourth quarter to beat
Napavine (Wash.) 27-24 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Wyatt Stanley touchdown pass to
Cole Doughty, the Tigers went into halftime with a 17-13 lead. The Gulls scored the winning points with a touchdown run by Newman that came in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring zero points in the third, Raymond still trailed by 11 points going into the fourth quarter. But 14 points in the fourth helped RHS pull out the victory.
The loss snapped Napavine's six-game winning streak.
