The Brooke Point Black Hawks suffered their closest defeat since December 14, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Mountain View by a score of 39-36. Brooke Point was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Despite the loss, Brooke Point still got an impressive performance from Antoinette Sanusi, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds. Sanusi also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Rinyah Jarrett, who scored ten points.
Even though they lost, Brooke Point smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Brooke Point's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Mountain View, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Brooke Point will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Colonial Forge is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games. As for Mountain View, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on January 31st. Courtland has now lost 12 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 6.
