There's no place like home for Ballard Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They escaped with a win on Monday against the Wiregrass Kings by the margin of a single free throw, 60-59. The Eagle's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Wiregrass' loss came despite strong showings from Caleb Dozier and Brayden Treadaway. Dozier posted 24 points and eight rebounds, while Treadaway went 7 of 15 on his way to 16 points and three steals. That's the most points Dozier has posted since back in November of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Graysen Ellison, who put up four points.

Ballard Christian's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Wiregrass, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ballard Christian will face off against Holy Ground Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th. As for Wiregrass, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against East Central HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. East Central HomeSchool is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.7 points per game this season.
