Linganore is 8-0 against Westminster since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Linganore Lancers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Westminster Owls at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Linganore's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 42-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oakdale. Linganore has struggled against Oakdale recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Christian Petruzzello put forth a good effort for the losing side as he dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Hodgson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Westminster's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell to South Carroll 54-49.
Linganore dropped their record down to 6-8 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Westminster, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
Linganore didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Westminster in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 52-47 win. Will Linganore repeat their success, or does Westminster have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
