Ironwood has not lost a match since December 28, 2023, a trend which continued in their latest game on Monday. They had just enough and edged Centennial out 4-3. Given Ironwood's advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Centennial is ranked 44th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, with a playoff game on the line, Desert Mountain rose to the challenge on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Nighthawks a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Desert Mountain, who have now won seven matchups by three goals or more so far this season.
Desert Mountain was without their leading scorer, Lucas Blumling, in Thursday's matchup. With Blumling sidelined, Desert Mountain had to make some changes to the lineup. And.
Ironwood has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-3-1 record this season. As for Desert Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 13-8-1.
