Belton extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 13-1. They came out on top against the South Oak Cliff Bears by a score of 72-63. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 59th, while the Bears are ranked 335th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

As for South Oak Cliff, they now have a losing record of 7-8. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (61), they still had to take the loss.

Despite the loss, South Oak Cliff still got an impressive performance from Jonathan Bradley, who almost dropped a double-double with 22 points and nine boards. Rc Herrin was another key player, shooting 42% from the field to rack up 11 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Belton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, an 87-62 loss against St. Michael's on the 13th. As for South Oak Cliff, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 67-57 defeat against Ellison on the 13th.
