The Manville Mustangs will take on the Dover Tigers at 4:15  p.m.  on Wednesday. Manville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8  runs per game  this season.
On Tuesday, Manville made easy work of Highland Park  and carried off  a  9-3 win. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Mustangs.
 Josh D'Ambrosio made a splash while hitting and pitching. He  struck out eight batters over  four innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-5 with one  home run.

 In other batting news, Manville let  Evan Canica and  Brandon Shimp run wild. Canica  went 3-for-4 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and two  RBI, while  Shimp  went a perfect 4-for-4 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double. Those  four  hits gave  Shimp a new career-high.  Bobby Petrone was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with four  stolen bases.
 Manville  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile, Dover was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Monday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Kittatinny Regional.
 Dover's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Manville, they now  have a winning record of 5-4.
 Manville took their  victory against Dover  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024 by a conclusive  8-0 score. Do  the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
