Cornerstone Academy scaled the state rankings by moving to 1 from 530 this week, the biggest jump in Florida Christian I (7 Man). The Cougars climbed the ranks as a result of defeating First Coast Christian 66-6.
Cornerstone Academy was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating the Knights. Tim johnson's team came in at 1 in the state poll after placing at number 530 last week.
Cornerstone Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jonah Nielson has thrown for 362 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Jake Altom has 9 catches for 207 yards.
The Cougars took down First Coast Christian 66-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Nielson threw for 177 yards and 5 touchdowns and ran for 19 yards during the win.
