Basketball Recap: Bethel Academy Piles Up the Points Against Heartland

Bethel Academy entered their tilt with Heartland on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 72-38 victory over the Heartland Mustangs. Bethel Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matches by 24 points or more this season.

Leading Bethel Academy to victory were Blake Grover and Hezekiah Bennett. Grover posted 26 points, while Bennett put up 21 points. Bennett continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of William Walker, who earned ten points.

Defeat or not, Heartland got some senior leadership from Zach Stone and Micah Stone. Zach had 13 points and eight rebounds, while Micah posted ten points and five steals.

Bethel Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Heartland, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Center Place the next time they take the court. Bethel Academy will host Center Place at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, while Heartland will head out to face them at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
