After losing to the Westfield School Hornets the last time they met, the Brookstone Cougars decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Brookstone strolled past Westfield School with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 59-41.
Brookstone's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grayson Miley, who scored 13 points. Miley continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Henderson, who scored eight points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Brookstone's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Westfield School, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.
Brookstone will head out on the road to face off against Kendrick at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Westfield School, they the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome First Presbyterian Day at 4:00 p.m. on January 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (First Presbyterian Day is ranked 498th, while Westfield School is ranked 486th).
