If the White Mountain Wolves were feeling good off their 60-28 takedown of the Aniguiin Eagles last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. When it comes to explaining why White Mountain lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lillian Lausten-Katongan. Despite the final result, she scored 17 points. It was the first time this season that Lausten-Katongan scored 15 or more points. Lori Nassuk was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

White Mountain does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Shishmaref, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Newhalen at 3:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Shishmaref is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
