After losing to Big Rapids the last time they met, Petoskey decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Northmen blew past the Cardinals 14-3 on Friday. Considering the Northmen have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Petoskey pushed their record up to 11-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Big Rapids, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.

Petoskey will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Gaylord at 4:00 p.m. As for Big Rapids, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-4 win against Beal City on the 17th.
