South Bend and North Beach go head to head this Friday at 7:00 PM. North Beach will have its work cut out for it since South Bend boasts a defense that has allowed an average of only 12 points per game.
Last game was the first rocky defensive outing for South Bend this year. It has to be hurting after a devastating 36 - 12 defeat at the hands of Pe Ell/Willapa Valley last game. Junior Drew Rose didn't go down without a fight, though. He put up some defensive resistance with 12 tackles. Rose also tagged on a 33-yard TD reception in the fourth quarter. As for North Beach, it received a tough blow as it fell 36 - 16 to Ocosta.
After their losses, South Bend dropped to 5-1 and North Beach dropped to 1-4. We'll find out which team manages to turn its luck around when they battle it out this week.
