Baseball Recap: Brookville Find Success

Brookville won against Heritage on Friday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Tuesday. The Bees came out on top against the Rustburg Red Devils by a score of 11-6. This was a revenge game for the Bees: when they faced off against the Red Devils back in March, they had to take a 5-4 defeat.

Brookville let Grayson Surratt and Aiden Dowdy run wild. Surratt got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI, while Dowdy went 1-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three runs gave Surratt a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brysn Quinn, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

Brookville now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Rustburg, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 7-6.
