Suffern is 1-9 against the Raiders since January of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Suffern Mounties will head out on the road to face off against the North Rockland Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Back in January, Suffern was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 65-61 to the Vikings. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game back in January (55), Suffern still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led North Rockland over the Vikings in every quarter on their way to victory on Wednesday. North Rockland walked away with a 55-46 victory over the Vikings.
North Rockland got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kiersten Daly out in front who scored 16 points. Emily Higgins was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Suffern now has a losing record at 2-3. As for North Rockland, the victory got them back to even at 8-8.
Suffern came up short against the Raiders in their previous matchup back in January, falling 53-47. Can Suffern avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
